Each year the Bed and Breakfast Inns of the Scenic St. Croix Valley proudly open our establishments for the Chocolate March. Ticket holders tour beautiful B&Bs and historic sites in the St. Croix River Valley on Sundays in March. Each B&B will have chocolate tastings and one each Sunday will also have wine pairing. Stay one night before March 31, and when you purchase a single ticket to the Chocolate March you will receive a second ticket free! Stay two nights during the month of March, and receive 25% off your second or lower priced night. Hudson's Hot Air Affair

We're already warm here and we'll be getting warmer the first weekend in February with Hudson's Hot Air Affair. Forty hot air balloons plan to take flight on Saturday and Sunday, February 4 & 5. The weekend starts out Friday evening with a parade featuring units that will be trying to best embody this year's theme: Chinese New Year - Year of the Dragon. The neighborhood group that includes the Phipps Inn owners has big plans for our parade unit as we strive to maintain our status as first place winners (almost) every year. You can take advantage of our Come Inn From the Cold special rates and have a lot of fun in Hudson at the same time!

Spirit of the St. Croix Art Festival

Hudson's Spirit of the St. Croix Art Festival is coming up on September 24 & 25 in Lakefront Park. There will be 70 juried artists showing their work as well as art demonstrations and good music. Come to Hudson and enjoy the weather, the art , the music and the restaurants.

Summer in the St. Croix Valley

The St. Croix River in Hudson is beautiful year round but summer is the best. Options for the active are swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, and water skiing. If you just like to watch the world and the water go by, that's an option too. Hudson's Riverwalk along the old toll bridge road stretches almost all of the way across the river to Minnesota. You can see Minnesota from here!

This coming Monday at 7:00pm the River City Chorale concert - rescheduled from this past Monday - will give their annual outdoor concert. Tuesday and Thursday evenings bring more music to Lakefront Park's bandshell. Tomorrow, August 4, the Minnesota Jazz Orchestra will perform. Redpath, Acoustic Country music is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9. Also scheduled for August are the St. Paul Police Band, Dirty Shorts Brass Band and Caleb Hawley - straight from American Idol. Some of our Phipps Inn Bed & Breakfast guests have picked up a picnic at Urban Olive and Vine on Second Street and enjoyed a picnic in the park. Urban Olive has fabulous sandwiches and salads and to-die-for desserts. Pier 500 has the best outdoor seating for river viewing - and the food is outstanding as well. Get there early for a prime spot.
